Accelerator Pedal: Testing and Inspection

3UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD
(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(d) Turn the tester ON.
(e) Enter the following menus:
Select: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1 or Accelerator position No. 2.
(f) Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that the Accelerator position No. 1 and Accelerator position No. 2 values are within the specifications.

If the Techstream is not available, measure the voltage between the terminals (VPA - EPA, VPA2 - EPA2) of the ECM connector Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
