Back-up Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the PNP switch R position signal is received from the luggage room junction block ECU, the back-up light illuminates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BACK-UP LIGHT)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the back-up light illuminates.

OK:
Back-up light illuminates.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the back-up light.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the back-up light connector and check that the back-up light illuminates.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the 6L junction block connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LIGHT - ECU AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the B8*1 or B9*2 light connector.
HINT:
*1: LH
*2: RH
(b) Disconnect the L22 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
LH

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
