CONVERTIBLE: REMOVABLE ROOF AUXILIARY CATCH: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
(a) Install the 2 screws and limit switch to the auxiliary catch.

2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REMOVABLE ROOF AUXILIARY CATCH ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, temporarily install the auxiliary catch with the 2 screws.
(b) Connect the connector.
3. ADJUST REMOVABLE ROOF AUXILIARY CATCH ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Close the roof by its own weight from the half open position.
(b) Measure the retract amount of the roof lock.

(1) Measure the distance A between the front header and roof panel at the point where the roof stops without locking.
HINT:
- Measure the retract amount without contact with the roof panel.
- Mark the point at which the measurement was performed.
(2) Lock the roof and measure the distance B between the front header and roof panel.
HINT: Measure at the same point as in the previous step.
C (Retract amount of roof lock) = A - B

(1) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, adjust the removable roof auxiliary catch assembly RH to mark C within the specified value.
Standard:
C = 3.5 +-1 mm (0.14 +-0.04 in.)
If C is not as specified, adjust the catch by turning the adjusting screw.

(d) Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the auxiliary catch with the 2 screws.
Torque: 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the roof headlining from the vehicle's rear direction.

(b) Install the 2 clips.

5. INSTALL ROOF FRONT CORNER HEADLINING RH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the corner headlining.
6. INSTALL ROOF FRONT CORNER HEADLINING LH
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side.

7. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the map light with the 2 screws.
(b) Install the courtesy lens.

8. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER
(a) Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
9. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Install the visor with the 2 screws.
10. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

11. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER RH
(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.
12. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

13. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.
14. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH
(a) Install the front door opening trim cover.
16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

17. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Attach the 5 clips and claw to install the scuff plate.
18. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

19. FULLY CLOSE ROOF PANEL
(a) Fully close roof panel Manual Close Operation.
20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
21. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the from the negative (-) terminal.
