Only Front Passenger's Door cannot be Operated by Manual Operation and Key-linked Lock and Unlock Function

DESCRIPTION

Switch signals via the master switch and driver's door key are transmitted to the theft warning ECU from the multiplex network door ECU, and LOCK or UNLOCK signals are transmitted to each multiplex network door ECU from the theft warning ECU. Then each multiplex network door ECU drives the door lock motor of each door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door unlock detection switch.

Driver Door





OK:
"ON" (door is unlocked) appears on the screen.
NG -- CHECK FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the power door lock operates.

Passenger Door





OK:
Door lock is locked / unlocked.
NG -- CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU RH
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU RH
3. CHECK FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH




(a) Disconnect the P10 ECU connector.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the P10 ECU connector and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:






NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU RH




(a) Disconnect the P11 connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH




(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:





(b) Measure the resistance of the position switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER DOOR ECU - MOTOR LOCK)




(a) Disconnect the D11 lock and P10 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU RH
