Front Door: Adjustments

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: FRONT DOOR: ADJUSTMENT

ADJUSTMENT

1. ADJUST FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.





(c) Adjust the door's position.
(1) Using SST, loosen the body's hinge bolts and adjust the door's position.
SST: 09812-00010
(2) Tighten the body's hinge bolts after the adjustment.
Torque: 32.5 Nm (331 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)




(3) Loosen the door's hinge bolts and adjust the door's position.
(4) Tighten the door's hinge bolts after the adjustment.
Torque: 32.5 Nm (331 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)





(d) Adjust the striker's position.
(1) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the door lock striker cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
