HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the audio system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORK SHOP

2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)*
(a) Use the Techstream to check if the Multiplex Communication System (MPX) is functioning normally.

5. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
(b) Delete the DTC.
(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTC output in (a), try to force output of the audio system DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC.
