DESCRIPTION

The multi-display performs the switch operation control by receiving the vehicle speed signal from the combination meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER - COMBINATION METER)




(a) Disconnect the M5 panel connector.
(b) Disconnect the C8 meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER




(a) Remove the instrument cluster finish panel center.
(b) Measure the resistance of the panel.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




(a) Move the shift lever to N.
(b) Jack up either of the rear wheels.
(c) Measure the voltage of the meter connector.
Standard:






NG -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
OK -- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY
