DESCRIPTION

This air mix damper servo is controlled by the A/C amplifier, and the A/C amplifier moves the air mix damper servo to the desired position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AIR MIX DAMPER POSITION)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the air outlet damper position.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.

Result





C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONER AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK (AIR MIX DAMPER OPERATION)
(a) Enter actuator check mode Actuator Check.
(b) Press the UP driver temperature switch to change to the step operation.
(c) Check the air flow temperature by hand.






OK:
Air flow position changes in accordance with each display code.

C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONER AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the damper servo.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO - A/C AMPLIFIER)




(a) Disconnect the A17 servo connector.
(b) Disconnect the A8 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
