DESCRIPTION

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION DATA
(a) Clear the zero point calibration data Testing and Inspection.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check that DTC C1336/39 is not output.
OK:
DTC C1336/39 is not output.
OK -- END
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (INCLUDING DECELERATION SENSOR)

(a) Remove the console box and deceleration sensor.
(b) Connect 3 dry cell batteries of 1.5 V in series.
(c) Connect terminal 8 (VYS) to the batteries' positive (+) terminal and terminal 5 (GYAW) to the batteries' negative (-) terminal.
NOTE:
Do not apply voltage of 6 V or more to terminals 8 (VYS) and 5 (GYAW).
(d) Measure the output voltage of the sensor when the sensor is tilted forward and rearward.
Standard voltage:

HINT:
- If the sensor is tilted too much, it may output the wrong value.
- If the voltage is out of the specification, replace the sensor with a new one.
- When replacing the sensor, do not place the sensor upside down.

NG -- REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - YAW RATE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the S6 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the Y1 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
