DESCRIPTION

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the brake actuator (master cylinder pressure sensor).

ABS/VSC/TRAC

OK:
Brake fluid pressure value must be changing.
OK -- CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - BRAKE ACTUATOR)

(a) Disconnect the S8 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the M2 master cylinder connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)

(a) Install SST (LSPV gauge) to the front caliper bleeder plug portion, and bleed LSPV gauge.
SST: 09709-29018
(b) Remove the brake actuator cover.
(c) Start the engine and depress the brake pedal. Then check the voltage of terminals 2 (PMC) and 3 (E2) of the master cylinder pressure sensor when the fluid pressure is in the following conditions with the connector still connected.
Standard voltage:

HINT: Voltage of between terminals VCM and E2: 4.7 to 5.3 V

NG -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR
OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
