DTC B2537 - Roof Control Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The roof control switch is located on the A/C control.
This circuit indicates "open" or "close" depending on the position of the sliding roof.
The open switch opens the sliding roof and the close switch closes the sliding roof.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Pushing and holding the control switch for 2 minutes or more will prohibit the operation. However, this is not a malfunction.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ROOF CONTROL SWITCH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the roof control switch.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL (ROOF CONTROL SWITCH))
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL (ROOF CONTROL SWITCH))




(a) Disconnect the S17 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the A10 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (ROOF CONTROL SWITCH)




(a) Remove the A/C control but do not disconnect the connectors Removal.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage of the A/C control.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
