DESCRIPTION
The luggage courtesy switch is located at the luggage rear lock portion.
The luggage courtesy switch detects if the luggage door is fully closed.
Turning the luggage courtesy switch ON and the luggage rear lock switch ON permits the sliding roof to operate.
The luggage courtesy switch in turned ON when the luggage rear lock switch is turned ON.
Turning the luggage courtesy switch ON permits the luggage door to start opening. Therefore, pressing the roof control switch with the luggage rear lock switch OFF causes the indicator to blink.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the courtesy switch.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the L19 lock connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK (COURTESY SWITCH))
(a) Disconnect the S17 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L19 lock connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
