DTC B2530 - Luggage Front Lock Switch LH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The luggage front lock switch is located at the luggage front lock portion.
The luggage front lock switch detects the lock/unlock condition of the luggage front lock.
The luggage front lock switch is turned ON when the luggage front lock is locked and turned OFF when it is unlocked.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage front lock LH.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH)




(a) Remove the limit switch Disassembly.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - LIMIT SWITCH (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH))




(a) Disconnect the S17 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L5 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH)




(a) Disconnect the L15 motor connector.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the closer terminals and check operation of the luggage closer LH.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH)




(a) Disconnect the L5 switch connector.
(b) Manually move the luggage door from the fully open position to the fully closed position, and measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
