DTC B2528 - Luggage Door Close Switch Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The luggage door closer switch is located at the bottom of the luggage link.
The luggage door closer switch detects if the luggage door is in the proximity to the fully closed position.
The luggage door closer switch is turned ON when the luggage door is fully closed and turned OFF when it is fully open.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE DOOR OPEN AND CLOSE)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage door open and close operation.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSE)




(a) Remove the limit switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR OPEN AND CLOSE)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - LIMIT SWITCH (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSE))




(a) Disconnect the S18 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L4 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSE)




(a) Disconnect the L4 switch connector.
(b) While manually operating the luggage door, measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
