DTC B2527 - Roof Open Switch Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The roof open switch is located at the locking position of the roof lock (Package tray bracket) when the roof panel is fully open.
The roof open switch detects if the roof panel is fully open or not.
The roof open switch is turned ON when the roof is fully closed and turned OFF when it is fully open.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Continuously repeating the roof open/close operation may stop the motor operation due to a function of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor. However, this is not a malfunction.
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ROOF OPEN)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the roof open.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF OPEN)
(a) Remove the slide roof limit switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF OPEN))
(a) Disconnect the S18 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L11 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (ROOF OPEN)
(a) Disconnect the L11 switch connector.
(b) Move the roof from the fully closed position to fully open position with your hands.
(c) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
