DTC B2526 - Roof Position Switch No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This circuit indicates roof position switch No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 depending on the position of the sliding roof.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Check if the same DTCs are recorded.

Result:





C -- GO TO B2525 CIRCUIT
B -- GO TO B2523 OR B2524 CIRCUIT
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF POSITION NO. 1, NO. 2)




(a) Remove the roof limit switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF POSITION NO. 3)




(a) Remove the roof limit switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF POSITION NO. 1, NO. 2))




(a) Disconnect the S18 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L13 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH (ROOF POSITION NO. 3))




(a) Disconnect the S17 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L12 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (ROOF POSITION NO. 1)




(a) Disconnect the L13 switch connector.
(b) While manually operating the roof, measure the resistance of the switch Manual Open Operation.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (ROOF POSITION NO. 2)




(a) Disconnect the L13 switch connector.
(b) While manually operating the roof, measure the resistance of the switch Manual Open Operation.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH OPERATION (ROOF POSITION NO. 3)




(a) Disconnect the L12 switch connector.
(b) While manually operating the roof, measure the resistance of the switch Manual Open Operation.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SLIDE ROOF LIMIT SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
