DTC B2517 - Open in Quarter Window Motor LH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

By operating the quarter window motor, the quarter window can be lowered or raised.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Continuously repeating the roof open/close operation may stop the motor operation due to a function of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor. However, this is not a malfunction.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (LGG LH)
(a) Remove the LGG LH fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR LH OPERATION)




(a) Remove the power window regulator motor RH Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the power window regulator motor LH.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT (ECU - QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR LH)




(a) Disconnect the S21 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the Q1 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
