DTC B2516 - Open in Quarter Window Motor RH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

By operating the quarter window motor, the quarter window can be lowered or raised.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Continuously repeating the roof open/close operation may stop the motor operation due to a function of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor. However, this is not a malfunction.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (LGG RH)
(a) Remove the LGG RH fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR OPERATION)




(a) Remove the power window regulator motor RH Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the power window regulator motor RH.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT (ECU - QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR RH)




(a) Disconnect the S20 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the Q2 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
