DTC B2514 - Short in Luggage Closer Motor LH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

By operating the luggage closer motor, the luggage lock function can be unlocked, and also the preparatory operation (neutral operation) is performed for locking the luggage door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (MOTOR LH OPERATION)




(a) Remove the luggage closer motor LH Disassembly.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the luggage closer motor LH.
OK:





HINT: Visually check the motor from the direction of the white arrow.

NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS FOR SHORT CIRCUIT (ECU - LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR LH)




(a) Disconnect the S21 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L15 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
