INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: Continuously repeating the roof open/close operation may stop the motor operation due to a function of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor. However, this is not a malfunction.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FUSE (ROOF RH)
(a) Remove the ROOF RH fuse from the luggage room junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (MOTOR RH OPERATION)
(a) Remove the luggage closer motor RH Disassembly.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the luggage closer motor RH.
OK:
HINT: Visually check the motor from the direction of the white arrow.
NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT (ECU - LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR RH)
(a) Disconnect the S19 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the L16 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
