DTC B2414 - Steering Position Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU receives signals regarding the swerve-angle from the steering sensor in the steering wheel.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STEERING SENSOR)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the steering sensor.

AFS





OK:
Condition value will be displayed.
OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Check for DTCs of the vehicle stability control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
Normal system code is output.
NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SENSOR - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the S9 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the A31 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK AFS ECU




(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPLACE STEERING SENSOR
OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
