DTC B2413 - Headlight Swivel Motor RH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The swivel actuator receives the signal from the AFS ECU to operate and sends the signal regarding the direction of the headlight swivel actuator and condition of the headlight swivel actuator swivel motor to the AFS ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SWIVEL MOTOR)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the swivel motor operates.

AFS

OK:
Swivel actuator operates.
OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ACTUATOR

(a) Disconnect the H19*1 or H20*2 actuator connector.
HINT:
*1: LH
*2: RH
(b) Measure the resistance of the actuator connector.
Standard resistance:
LH

HINT: Measure the resistance after the headlight swivel actuator has cooled.

NG -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ACTUATOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - ACTUATOR)

(a) Disconnect the A30 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the H19*1 or H20*2 actuator connector.
HINT:
*1: LH
*2: RH
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
LH

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK AFS ECU

(a) Disconnect the H19*1 or H20*2 actuator connector.
HINT:
*1: LH
*2: RH
(b) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:
RH

NG -- REPLACE AFS ECU
OK -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ACTUATOR
