DTC B1266 - Short to B+ in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
DTC B1267 - Short to GND in Instrument Panel System Communication Bus Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
DTC B1266 is detected when +B is short-circuited on the instrument panel system communication bus, and DTC B1267 is detected when the body ground is short-circuited on the instrument panel system communication bus. Detecting this condition will disable the instrument panel system communication bus (BEAN) and a DTC will be output.

1. CHECK TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the tire pressure monitor receiver connector and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU
(a) Disconnect the 3H passenger side junction block connector.
(b) Disconnect the P6 passenger side junction block ECU connector and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
Result
B -- REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER - PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
(a) Disconnect the tire pressure monitor receiver and passenger side junction block ECU connectors, and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- CHECK A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (A/C ECU)
A -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the combination meter connector and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the combination meter and passenger side junction block ECU connectors, and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR
A -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU - TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER)
(a) Disconnect the G3 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the T9 receiver connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the G3 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the C8 meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU
8. CHECK A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (A/C ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A/C amplifier connectors and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (A/C ECU)
A -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER - A/C AMPLIFIER)
(a) Disconnect the tire pressure monitor receiver and A/C amplifier connectors, and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR RECEIVER - A/C AMPLIFIER)
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER - PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
10. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the A21 center airbag sensor connector and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR)
(a) Disconnect the center airbag sensor and passenger side junction block ECU connectors, and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
A -- Continue to next step.
12. CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connectors and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
B -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
13. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR - SKID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the center airbag sensor and skid control ECU connectors, and check for DTCs B1266 and B1267.
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
B -- Continue to next step.
14. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK
(a) Disconnect the 2F and 2H connectors from the driver side junction block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR - SKID CONTROL ECU)
