DTC B1242 - Wireless Door Lock Tuner Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is detected when GND short occurs on the RDA or RSSI line of the inner rear view mirror. If this DTC is detected, check the circuit that has communication malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RECEIVER - ECU AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the I19 mirror connector.
(b) Disconnect the T7 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. REPLACE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER)
(a) After replacing the inner rear view mirror with a normal one, check that no DTC is output.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU
OK -- END
