DTC B1224 - Front Passenger Side Door Lock Switch Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC will be output when the passenger's door unlock switch (for key operation) of the power window regulator master switch is on.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the door control switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH




(a) Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:





(b) Measure the resistance of the position switch.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - ECU)




(a) Disconnect the D10 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the P9 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU RH
