Only Rear Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade

DESCRIPTION

A rear sunshade signal is sent from the rear power seat module switch to the rear junction block ECU through CAN communication, and the rear sunshade operates.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Rear Sunshade System.
(b) Check for DTCs Rear Sunshade System.

2. CHECK SYSTEM
(a) Check if the vehicle is equipped with the Ottoman.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.

Rear Console Switch





OK:
Rear sunshade raises or lowers.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH)
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the r3 curtain switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the r1 power seat module switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK CURTAIN SWITCH (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch.
OK:
Rear sunshade can be raised and lowered with curtain switch
