Only Front Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade
DESCRIPTION
A rear sunshade switch signal is sent from the No. 2 console switch (Integration control & panel) to the No. 1 console switch (combination switch). Then the signal is sent through LIN communication to the outer mirror switch, which then sends the signal through CAN communication to the rear junction block ECU, and the rear sunshade operates.

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Rear Sunshade System.
(b) Check for DTCs Rear Sunshade System.
Result
C -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
Center Console Switch
OK:
Rear sunshade raises or lowers.
NG -- INSPECT NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH
3. INSPECT NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the No. 2 console switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH
OK -- REPLACE NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH
