DESCRIPTION

A rear door sunshade switch signal is sent from the rear power seat module switch to the rear door ECUs through CAN communication, and the rear curtains operate.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Rear Door Sunshade System.
(b) Check for DTC Rear Door Sunshade System.

2. CHECK SYSTEM
(a) Check if the vehicle is equipped with the Ottoman.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
(a) Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the rear door sunshade switch.

Rear Console Switch





OK:
Rear curtain is operated normally.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH)
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the r3 curtain switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the r1 power seat module switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check that the curtain can be raised or lowered by using the curtain switch.
OK:
Curtain can be raised or lowered with curtain switch.

B -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH
A -- END (CURTAIN SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
