Front and Rear Switch cannot Operate Left Door Sunshade

DESCRIPTION

The rear door ECU operates the motor of the rear curtain (rear door sunshade).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Rear Door Sunshade System.
(b) Check for DTC Rear Door Sunshade System.

Result





B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR SUNSHADE OPERATION)
(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the rear door sunshade operates.

Rear Left Door





OK:
Rear curtain is operated normally.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CURTAIN LH - REAR DOOR ECU LH)
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CURTAIN LH - REAR DOOR ECU LH)




(a) Disconnect the O15 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O16 curtain connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN LH




(a) Remove the rear curtain LH Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain LH.
Standard:









(c) Reconnect the rear curtain connector.
(d) Measure the waveform according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPLACE REAR CURTAIN LH
OK -- REPLACE REAR DOOR ECU LH
