Installation








SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY




NOTE:
When installing the retractor, make sure the vehicle's claws (labeled "a" in the illustration) only contact the installation areas of the retractor.

(a) Align the vehicle's claws with the seat belt retractor positioning holes.
(b) Install the seat belt with the 2 bolts. First install the upper bolt, and then install the lower bolt.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)for bolt A
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)for bolt B





(c) Connect the pretensioner connector labeled A, as shown in the illustration.
(d) Connect the tension reducer connector labeled B.
(e) W/ Pre-collision system:
Connect the pre-collision connector labeled C.





(f) Install the shoulder anchor to the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the nut.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)





2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE
(a) Install the belt guide with the 2 screws.
NOTE:
Make sure the belt is not pinched as this may damage the belt.

3. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER Installation
4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER Installation
5. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
(a) for Standard Body:
(1) Install the rear door scuff plate ( Installation).
(b) for Long Body:
(1) Install the rear door scuff plate ( Installation).
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Installation
10. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY Installation
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light ( Diagnosis System).
