Illumination Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The clock receives light control switch position information via the AVC-LAN, and performs nighttime illumination. When nighttime illumination is operating, the combination meter's rheostat performs the illumination adjustment.

PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT NIGHTTIME ILLUMINATION
(a) Turn on the light control switch and check the nighttime illumination of the vehicle interior.
Result:
C -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM
B -- CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the L38 clock connector.
(b) Disconnect the L10 meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance::
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
3. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE)
(a) Enter the "Display Check" mode (Vehicle Signal Check Mode) Display Check Mode.
(b) Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the light control switch operation.
OK:
HINT: This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual change in the switch.
