BRAKE CONTROL: SKID CONTROL ECU: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU BRACKET
(a) Install the bracket with the bolt and 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU
(a) Connect the 2 connectors (labeled A) and press the lock levers down to lock the connectors.
NOTE:
Make sure that the lock levers securely lock the connectors.
(b) Connect the connector (labeled B).
(c) Install the ECU with the 2 bolts (labeled C) and nut (labeled D).
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
(d) Connect the short connector for the brake stroke simulator (labeled E) to the bracket of the skid control ECU.
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation
5. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC
(a) Check and clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
6. PERFORM LINEAR VALVE OFFSET LEARNING
(a) When the skid control ECU is replaced, perform the linear valve offset learning Programming and Relearning.
7. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
(a) Perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.
8. PERFORM TEST MODE INSPECTION
(a) Perform the test mode inspection Test Mode Procedure.
9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation
10. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
