BRAKE: BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR TUBE





(a) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the brake stroke simulator tube from the brake master cylinder with simulator.
2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 nuts (labeled A), brake master cylinder bracket (labeled B) and brake master cylinder gasket (labeled C).
3. REMOVE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts (labeled A), brake stroke simulator bracket (labeled B), brake master cylinder gasket (labeled C) and brake stroke simulator cylinder (labeled D).
4. REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS





(a) Remove the push rod clevis and lock nut.
HINT: If the protrusion of the push rod in relation to the push rod clevis is measured beforehand, it is easier to perform the brake pedal height adjustment after the brake master cylinder with simulator is installed.

5. DISASSEMBLE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the screw and brake master cylinder reservoir.





(b) Remove the 2 reservoir grommets from the brake master cylinder.
