Installation








BRAKE CONTROL: FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for AWD): INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
HINT:
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- Other than areas where instructions are provided, use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

1. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT RH





(a) Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
- The speed sensor is easily damaged.
When installing the speed sensor to the axle hub, do not use excessive force to rotate and install it.
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Do not drop the sensor. If the sensor has been dropped, replace the sensor with a new one.

2. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
(a) for LH side:




(1) Connect the connector to the front speed sensor.
(2) Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
NOTE:
When installing the clamp, do not twist the wire harness.

(b) for RH side:




(1) Connect the connector to the front speed sensor.
(2) Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
NOTE:
When installing the clamp, do not twist the wire harness.
(3) Connect the pad wear indicator connector.





(c) Install the 2 sensor clamps with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)
NOTE:
Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the clamps.





(d) Attach the 2 sensor clips.
NOTE:
When installing the clips, do not twist the wire harness.

(e) Connect the sensor connector.
(f) Connect the front fender liner.
3. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation
6. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check the speed sensor signal Test Mode Procedure.
