APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:
Some 2007 - 2009 LS 460/460L and 2008-2009 LS 600h models may exhibit a rubbing noise from the rear of the vehicle due to the rocker panel moulding protector coming loose. The following repair procedures have been developed to reinstall the moulding and address this condition.

PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:








This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VI VIN shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:








1. Remove the rocker panel moulding protector.
A. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
B. Remove the screw and protector.








2. Measure and mark the dimensions on the rocker panel molding as shown in the illustration.








3. Drill 2 pilot holes 3 mm (1/8 inch) on the rocker panel at the location shown.








4. Using a utility knife, cut the rocker panel moulding using the lines marked as a guide.








5. Slide the clip onto the rocker panel moulding as shown in the illustration so that the clip lines up with the mounting hole.
6. Attach the rocker panel protector to the rocker panel moulding using the new screw.
