Seat Vibrator does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The seat vibrator module receives power from the battery, and operates the seat vibrator. Also, the seat vibrator module and seat vibrator switch are controlled through communication signals. If an error is detected, all system operations stop and only SW1 can be operated (all other switches cannot be operated). After the error is corrected, the system enters stop mode.

1. CHECK BLINKING CONDITION OF LED7
(a) 5 seconds after the seat vibrator switch SW1 is pressed, check if LED7 blinks.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the S29 seat vibrator module connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the values in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY
3. CHECK BLINKING CONDITION OF LED6
(a) 5 seconds after the seat vibrator switch SW1 is pressed, check if LED6 blinks.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the Y2 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the values in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK AND REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH - SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE)




(a) Disconnect the S29 seat vibrator module connector.
(b) Disconnect the Y2 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH (OPERATION)
(a) Replace the seat vibrator switch with a new or normally operating one. Perform an operation inspection.
OK:
Seat vibrator operates normally.
NG -- REPLACE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY
OK -- END (SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
7. CHECK SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH
(a) When the seat vibrator switch's vibrator operation is selected, check that the respective seat vibrator switch LEDs illuminate.

(a) Disconnect the f2 vibrator connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the values in the table below.

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT VIBRATOR - SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE)




(a) Disconnect the S29 seat vibrator module connector.
(b) Disconnect the f2 vibrator connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY
10. CHECK BLINKING CONDITION OF LED8
(a) 5 seconds after the seat vibrator switch SW1 is pressed, check if LED8 blinks.

11. CHECK SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH
(a) Perform the Active Test on the seat vibrator switch Operation Check.
OK:
All switches on seat vibrator switch operate normally.
NG -- END (SEAT VIBRATOR SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
OK -- Continue to next step.

12. CHECK OPERATION OF SEAT VIBRATION SYSTEM
(a) When only the air operation is selected, check if the operation stops partway and if the system enters stop mode.
OK:
System does not enter stop mode.
