EXTERIOR: REAR BUMPER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER RETAINER LOWER LH
(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the retainer.
(b) Install the 5 screws.
2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER RETAINER LOWER RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER RETAINER UPPER LH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the retainer.
4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER RETAINER UPPER RH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the retainer.
(b) Attach the wire clamp.

5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
(a) Attach the clip and 2 claws to install the side support.
(b) Install the 4 screws.
6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 REINFORCEMENT
(a) Install the reinforcement with the 8 screws.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH
(a) Attach the 6 claws to install the bumper arm reinforcement.
9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR
(a) Install the bumper bar to the energy absorber.

11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
(a) Install the energy absorber.
12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER
(a) W/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
Connect the No. 3 floor wire connectors.

(b) Attach the 8 claws to install the rear bumper.

(d) Install the bumper seal bracket and attach the clip.
HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(e) Install the 6 screws and 6 clips.

13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE LH
(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the bumper plate.
HINT: Attach the claw on the inner side first.

14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
16. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation
17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
