AVC-LAN Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Each unit of the audio and visual system connected to AVC-LAN (communication bus) communicates by transferring the signals from each switch.
When a short to +B or short to ground occurs in this AVC-LAN, the audio and visual system will not function normally as the communication is discontinued.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the L53, L51, L57 and L52 receiver connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
for CD changer models





for DVD changer models





NG -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
HINT: For details of the connectors, refer to "TERMINALS OF ECU" Audio and Visual System (W/ Multi-display).
(a) Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check all AVC-LAN circuits.
(1) Disconnect all connectors in all AVC-LAN circuits.
(2) Check for an open or short in all AVC-LAN circuits.
OK:
There is no open or short circuit.





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
