Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-display Controller

DESCRIPTION

The multi-display controller controls the volume according to the mute signal from the radio receiver.
The mute signal is sent to reduce noise and a popping sound generated when switching the mode, etc.

1. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

2. CHECK SATELLITE RADIO TUNER AND/OR DISC PLAYER
(a) Check if the satellite radio tuner and/or disc player are equipped on the vehicle.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE RADIO TUNER - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)




(a) Disconnect the R29 tuner connector.
(b) Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. REPLACE SATELLITE RADIO TUNER WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the satellite radio tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again Removal.
OK:
Same problem does not occur.

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - DISC PLAYER)

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

9. REPLACE DISC PLAYER WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the disc player with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again Removal.
