PRECAUTION

1. NOTICE FOR INITIALIZATION
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.





2. VEHICLE ADJUSTMENT PRECAUTION
(a) The maximum steering angle memorize must be performed with the engine started. To make sure the vehicle does not move during the initialization, depress and hold the brake pedal, set the shift lever to the P position and set the parking brake.
(b) When performing vehicle adjustments, follow the precautions below.
(1) If the cable has been disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, the multi-display displays "system initializing", and the steering angle neutral point must be corrected.
(2) If the parking assist ECU is replaced, the multi-display displays "System not ready", and all of the following must be performed: 1) maximum steering angle and steering angle neutral point initialization; 2) camera position setting; 3) bumper reference line position adjustment; and 4) vehicle height setting.
(3) If the rear bumper cover is replaced and the rear bumper cover installation position is different, the bumper reference line position adjustment is necessary.
(4) If the television camera is replaced and the television camera assembly installation position is different, the camera position setting is necessary.
(5) If water, snow or mud has contaminated the television camera assembly lens, the display will not be clear. Using water and a soft cloth, clean the lens. If the contamination is severe, use a mild detergent.
