INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING DATA LIST (TPS 1 SW SIGNAL)

(a) Connect terminals TPS1 and E1 of the E5 and E6 TCM connectors.
HINT: Before connecting the terminals, do visual and contact pressure checks on the TCM connectors.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Data List.
(f) Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
Result:

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE TCM
(a) Replace the TCM Removal.
NEXT -- PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM)

(a) Disconnect the E50 transmission wire connector.
(b) Disconnect the E6 TCM connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (OIL PRESSURE SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the E50 transmission wire connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE
