DTC C1625/5C-56 - Open or Short in Steering Angle Sensor +B

DESCRIPTION

When the steering sensor (connected to the parking assist ECU via CAN communication) is malfunctioning, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
When replacing the parking assist ECU, perform initialization of the television camera and calibration of the steering angle sensor and height control sensor.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT FUSE (P MPX-B, D-IG1-1)
(a) Remove the P MPX-B fuse from passenger side junction block.
(b) Remove the D-IG1-1 fuse from main body ECU.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SENSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the L21 sensor connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
