DTC B1451/51 - Compressor Solenoid Circuit

DESCRIPTION

In this circuit, the compressor receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the air conditioning amplifier.
Based on this signal, the compressor changes the degree of refrigerant compression.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REFRIGERANT CONTROL CURRENT)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the refrigerant control current is functioning properly.

Air Conditioner





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.

Result





C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY




(a) Disconnect the compressor and pulley connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)




(a) Disconnect the E11 compressor and pulley connector.
(b) Disconnect the L76 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY - BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the E11 compressor and pulley connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
