DTC C1AEE/5C-5E - APGS Sensor Communication Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the front sensors and the ECU, or when there is malfunction in a front sensor.

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When replacing the parking assist ECU, perform initialization of the television camera and calibration of the steering angle sensor and height control sensor.
- If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

Result

B -- END
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU

(a) Reconnect the L90 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the L90 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the D1 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR - FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the D1 and D5 sensor connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

Result

B -- END
A -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor Removal with a normally functioning sensor.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.

Result

A -- Continue to next step.

8. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SIDE SENSOR)

(a) Replace the ultrasonic sensor Removal with a normally functioning sensor.

(a) Clear the DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
(b) Check for DTCs Advanced Parking Guidance System.
