DESCRIPTION

Based on the steering sensor's signal, the power steering ECU determines if the correct type of steering angle sensor is installed.

1. CHECK STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
(a) Check if a steering angle sensor that complies with the vehicle's specifications is installed.
OK:
Steering sensor that complies with vehicle's specifications is installed.
NG -- REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU
