DTC B1244 - Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when a failure of the automatic light control sensor circuit is detected.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC
(a) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1244 output does not occur.
NG -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
OK -- NORMAL
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

Main Body





OK:
Output illuminance is as shown in table above.
NG -- CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (CLTB - CLTE VOLTAGE)
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
4. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (CLTB - CLTE VOLTAGE)




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)




(a) Disconnect the L12 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the M2 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
