Washer Fluid Level Warning Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The front controller receives washer fluid level sensor information, and sends it through multiplex communication line to the combination meter.
The combination meter receives this information, and turns on the washer fluid level warning switch when the washer fluid becomes low.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Select the item below in the Data List, and read the display on the Techstream.
Body No. 5 (Front controller):
OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 2F engine room No. 2 junction block connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR - ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK NO. 2)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR - ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK NO. 2)
(a) Disconnect the A4 washer fluid level sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the 2F engine room No. 2 junction block connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the A4 washer fluid level sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
