Key-off Operation Function Operates even if Operating Conditions are not Satisfied
DESCRIPTION
- When the driver door has not been opened, each door power window regulator motor can control its power window operation for approximately 45 seconds after the engine switch is turned off (key is removed) by receiving operation permission signals from the body ECU. However, when approximately 45 seconds have elapsed, or the driver door or front passenger side door is opened within approximately 45 seconds of the engine switch being turned off (key is removed), the power window regulator motor stops operating.
During AUTO function operation, the window operation will continue until complete even if 45 seconds have passed or a door is opened.

1. CHECK OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF
(a) Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off.
Result:
B -- REPLACE BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / Main Body / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:
OK is displayed on the Techstream screen.
NG -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
OK -- REPLACE BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
