Removal








AUDIO / VISUAL: STEERING PAD SWITCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment Service Precautions.
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal
4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal
5. REMOVE STEERING PAD Removal
6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) Removal
7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for 1UR-FSE) Removal
8. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH Removal
9. REMOVE STEERING SHAKE DAMPER





(a) Remove the 2 screws and steering shake damper.
10. REMOVE LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER





(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower steering wheel boss cover.
11. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and pin and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
NOTE:
Be sure to disengage the claws to prevent breaking them.





(c) Remove the screw.
(d) Disengage the 2 claws and pin and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
NOTE:
Be sure to disengage the claws to prevent breaking them.
