Vehicle Stability Control System
BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU
TERMINALS OF ECU
1. CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Check the battery voltage.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
2. SKID CONTROL ECU INSPECTION
(a) Measure the voltage between each terminal or between each terminal and the body ground.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and check the communication condition with the skid control ECU.
(c) Using an oscilloscope, check the pulse generated between each terminal or between each terminal and body ground.
NOTE:
Inspection should be performed from the back of the connector with the connector connected to the skid control ECU.
HINT: Inspect the ECU from the wire harness side while the connector is connected.
*1: for headlight beam level control or AFS
*2: for 4WD
(d) Waveform 1 (Reference): Using an oscilloscope:
HINT: As the vehicle speed (wheel speed) becomes faster, the cycle becomes shorter.
(e) Waveform 2 (Reference): Using an oscilloscope:
HINT: As the vehicle speed (wheel speed) becomes faster, the cycle becomes shorter.
(f) Waveform 3 (Reference): Using an oscilloscope:
HINT: As the vehicle speed (wheel speed) becomes faster, the cycle becomes shorter.
